The Model ‘AP’ Running and Setting Tool is used to set most liner hanger packers. The right-hand releasing running nut is used to attach the liner assembly to the running string. The Model ‘AP’ running tool features a floating and spring loaded running nut on a full bearing to ensure easy releasing. It also incorporates spring loaded dogs that will kick out allowing a compression force when needed to set compression style hangers after the running nut has been released. The running tool has a lower connection allowing an inner string circulation system, if required, for slotted liner and wire wrap screens.
