Renown’s ‘HDSR’ Retrievable Liner Hanging Packer is a hydraulic set and release Liner Top with a retrievable tension shear and bi-directional slips. The running and setting tool for the ‘HDSR’ is the ‘RDS’ Running Tool, this system utilizes a shared hydraulic piston chamber on the ‘HDSR’. This allows for a larger ID on the Running Tool and more pack force for the Liner Packer Elements and Slips. The ‘HDSR’ shear screws are external, allowing on-site adjustments to the Liner Packer setting and release settings prior to running-in-hole. Multiple Packer elastomer options are available for thermal capability up to 454°C (849°F) and has been third party tested to prove a capable pressure test after the elements have been scrubbing up and down the casing walls due to thermal expansion and contraction in environments over 330°C (626°F).
