Renown’s ‘GRAVI-STAR’ Setting Tool is used to set Liner Top Packers. This setting tool is hydraulic set, hydraulic release, with a secondary rotational release. The large piston area provides an extremely high setting force using less hydraulic pressure. This makes setting steel seal liner tops effortless. The ‘GRAVI-STAR’ also has circulation pistons that open up to clear away debris in the packer location before setting. It also features a secondary drain if the tubing string ever becomes plugged preventing wet trips.
